Fun or frustration, I can't seem to leave the infernal things alone. I just
wrote down a quote from a F1 TV broadcast. The final lap to quallifying for
Sundays GP, found their 'puters taking a nap. While on-board telemetry times
where being tabulated, out came from the 1970's driver/come 'colour'
commentator, "As is what's going to happen world one day when all the computers
stop, the world's going to spin off its axis and go waffling off into space."

Update: Despite the man page suggesting vesafb not be in the kernel, it seems
to function with it there. As:
       vesafb: cannot reserve video memory at 0xf6000000
I'll bet it is not given a chance to muck up the works.

Right-o! The time I spent trying to restore the feature in the kernel was time
wasted. Because my trimming the - what I thought was - supurflos drivers
downgraded my output , I assumed I needed to turn a select few back on.

I'll wager your version is more up to date than mine. Digging through my
installed text had me use:
append="video=matroxfb:vesa:0x11C,depth:32,fv:60"

I would have opted for "0x1BF" had it been listed. As log as I could get there
from here...

Looks like the Meth-heads are admitting themselves into yards to rumage through
recycling bins. One flew over the neighbours fence with a dog attached to his
back pocket one day, right into the arms of the constabulary. Poetry can be
