Actually the US Constitution is the set of rules that are (supposed to be)
followed by the US government, it has very little to do with US citizens.

If the US Constitution does not control the actions of the US government
on every square inch of the planet, then it is of no force or effect on *any*
square inch of the planet.

Actually it's been called 'torture' since WW II, and Japanese officers were
hanged for ordering it done to US prisoners.

Some have been doing that for years.  Some parents have been arrested and had
their kids confiscated by the government because mommy gave her misbehaving
child a swat on the butt in a store.

I happen to agree with you on this, but some folks consider spanking to be
child abuse.

Well, there used to be well over 700 people being held there, and only about
250 or so remain there.  That suggests that 450 or so have been released - and
that suggests that a LOT of mistakes have been made.

I suspect that more than a few of those who 'returned to terrorism' didn't
*return* to it but *joined* it as a result of their treatment by the US.
