I just gave it a bit of a test on my Mac laptop at work-- unplugged from the
Net I was able to read a 'new message' that was sitting in my Inbox-- very
quick-loading, not having to download the content! Compose a new message,
delete a message...

When I plugged the network cable in, restoring the connection, all the changes
happened 'for real'.

Although I have Win7 installed on 2 systems- this Mac, and my Dell laptop, I
don't actually use it very much... after the initial trial to see that it
installed and what it looked like. Frankly, I'm not using Windows (any version)
all that much- at work, Windows is installed everywhere, but my big effort for
the past 2 weeks has been to set up the school systems- at least in my computer
lab- to dual boot to Ubuntu, and to find ways for the kids to get their work
done and access their network shares, in that environment.

This is why it's a beta !!!

Windows.old will NOT be rejuvenated in August... There are probably ways to
reinstall XP or Vista over top of it, but don't expect anything to
'automatically' happen (other than the beta timing out and turning your
computer into a doorstop if you haven't got a valid OS installed at that time!)

If all you need is password protected PDFs, there are various free PDF-creators
that will do that.
