As you are not dealing with legacy HW, W7 might be the slickest solution. It'll
sidestep Linux kernel settings and incomplete modules headaches, provided M$
supports the sound controller.

Lock-Tite? Some of those formulations are meant to compete with epoxy! Short of
drilling out the screw heads... <scratching head>
