Hope all goes (went) well with your exam. I don't envy you going to the
city; I saw it was going to be hot there again today. We're still hot &
humid but it should break slightly tomorrow and maybe hit the upper 80s
by the week end.

Sounds like fun. I'd also want to hit up some fabric/trim/etc outlets in
the Garment District. Keep hydrated tho.

It takes about 15 minutes to make and can be eaten right away.  This way
we know what goes into it.

I can understand; I have asthma and days like this I can't hardly breath

8mm and then Super 8. My dad shot a lot of movies too.

It was maybe once or twice a year for us. When the vacation pictures
came back and then maybe once during the winter for older movies. I
don't know what has happened to them but I can recall seeing movies of
when my mom was little.  They had to be soaked in glycerine before they
could be run and the projector was an odd looking gizmo.

My folks did that, as well as Steve's.  Unfortunately, my dad added some
really cheesy/corny narration. He may have thought it cute at the time
but it really doesn't add to the movies.  A basic who's who and what's
what (with year identification) would have been better.  We've got a
couple of video tapes he made for us when we were in Germany--a
compounding of the year's events for the exteded family but there's no
real narraion as to what it is, who's who, etc.

Some of them, yes. It takes a lot of training tho, to be good enough to
put on a show like that. We took a friend of ours to one of those places
(not the big name one) in Tucson a couple of times and all enjoyed the
show.  The food was OK, not super high qualtity but the show that went
with it made you less aware of the quality of the food.

No, for the 2 of us. And by drinks, I mean a soda or tea, no booze. I
think they were surprised the first few times I ordered kim chee but
their cucumber kim chee was really good. The cabbage one tended to be on
the extra hot side tho.  Steve always liked it when had water cress
available as a vegetable choice.

Sigh! We're coming back from the picnic the "inland" way (vs I-95) so
will go thru the mountains in western VA and NC.

We have a bit.  We had a 3 am ish wake up call as we were in HI at the
time. Security immediately closed things down super tight.
