====================================================================
Hi Hap,

-> More like June temps out here--been in the 80s for almost 2 weeks. Due
-> to cool off to the 70s early next week.

 HN> 26F here this morning at 6 am. will get up to
 HN> a whopping 46 sometime today.

We might have broken 70 today--if the sun was able to poke out long
enough between thunderstorms. Right now we're in a severe
thunderstorm/tornado watch until 11 pm. Good day to stay inside but we
did go out for a couple of hours this afternoon.

-> HN> Your clothes your choice I'd say.

-> Yes, and today's choice was jeans, a blue and white aloha shirt (that I
-> made) plus my usual walking shoes.

 HN> For me today is bluejeans and t-shirt.
 HN> pretty much every day is bluejeans and
 HN> t-shirt...unless I'm wearing shorts...then
 HN> it's shorts and t-shirt.

But no shorts today. (G)

-> HN> You can do like I do; make them in disposable
-> HN> aluminum foil pans, and when they are done
-> HN> freeze them then remove them from the pans
-> HN> and store them in ziploc bags.

-> That's most likely what I'll do. Do you do pot pies that way as well? If
-> so, single or double crust?

 HN> Have not made a pot pie in years
 HN> and years. Did go out last night
 HN> and pick up two of KFC's chicken
 HN> pot pies last night for dinner;
 HN> not bad at all, not sure that it's
 HN> worth the $3.99 price though.

Convenience is worth the money spent sometimes. I'm doing it often
enough but will bake cakes & bread from scratch, and other things like
that. Some things the taste of the home done far outweighs the
convenience and what appears to be a good price. Our youth group at
church is sponsoring a cake auction again this year as a fund raiser for
camp; I'll probably do another lemon pound cake; it's very popular in
our Life Group as the last 2 I've made have vanished.

-> HN> and I'm not going to modify it to make
->  HN> a different letter (grin).

-> Not even if Amanda asked you to do a special one for her?

 HN> If she asked I'd make a nice
 HN> styleized "A" for her a bit more
 HN> "cursive" than my pie marks.

And how would you do Anne's?

-> HN> Same here, as she was my grandmother
-> HN> from the time I was born (grin). I just
-> HN> never knew I was listening to classical
-> HN> music until much later when I heard the
-> HN> same songs my grandmother played being
->  HN> played by others.

-> My dad would put records on, usually Sunday afternoons, but it was a
-> mixed bag of Sousa, 1812 Overture (and other classical), train sound
-> pretty much tuned it out--heard it but didn't really listen.

 HN> My folks played country and western most of
 HN> the time...I tuned it out as best I could
 HN> unitl I could buy my own radio and tune
 HN> into stations that I wanted to hear.

Takes all kinds to make the world go round.

-> HN> Never know for sure! The benefit is
-> HN> that you can go where your heart calls
->  HN> you to go.

-> Now we can, as long as there's a job in that area as well. We're not
-> ready to settle back in our rockers full time yet.

 HN> True, but you could survive on Steve's
 HN> retirement income if you wished to do so.
 HN> Which gives you the liberty to follow your
 HN> heart to wherever you wish to look for that
 HN> job.

As we will be doing. Will consider factors like cost of living, access
to medical care, etc, etc as well. Should start the ball rolling on all
that in about 6 weeks.

-> HN> I love pulled pork, even better than ribs
->  HN> and I LOVE ribs!! I have found a new bbq
-> HN> place here in town and am looking forward
-> HN> to giving them a try one of these days.

-> Soon as you have somebody to go with? Steve just pulled a chuck roast
-> off the smoker; a Boston butt is still on.

 HN> I think I'll wait until Michael's next
 HN> visit and we may make a BBQ safari for a
 HN> day or two!

Sounds like fun. If I figure right, he will be visiting shartly after
Steve starts his last semester of school work.

Catch you later,
