I dunno. It never seemed that hard to me. I used to drink coffee with a bunch
of guys who were always after me to go out with them and "play a round".
Claiming it was healthful and that I would enjoy it, etc. I gave in after
extended wheedling on their part. We played at a number of public 9 hole
courses at which a Par score was between 34 and 36 strokes. I promptly began
scoring between 38 and 44 using rented clubs and wearing plain old sneakers.
They quit asking me to go with them. Haven't played anything beyond Putt-Putt
style golf since.

I played football in high school and was a goalie/defence-man in ice hockey.
Did it well enough to "letter" three years in each sport. I don't enjoy
watching most professional sports - which are supposed to be "team" efforts but
in which the "me"ism is readily apparent. Ice hockey is about the only
professional sport I can enjoy on the glass teat. Much druther watch little
league baseball or a good fast-pitch softball game .. especially ladies
fast-pitch. Even if many of the "ladies" are only ladies because of their
chromosome arrangement.  Bv)=

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Baseball All-Star Cookie Treat
 Categories: Five, Desserts, Snacks, Grains
      Yield: 10 Servings
 
     10 oz Pkg. marshmallows
    1/3 c  Butter
      6 c  Crisp rice cereal
      1 cn Vanilla frosting
           Frosting; tinted desired
           - colour
           Decorating bag & tips
 
  Grease 12 inch pizza pan.* In large saucepan over
  medium heat, melt marshmallows and margarine, stirring
  constantly until mixture is smooth. Add cereal; stir
  until evenly coated.  Press mixture evenly into
  greased pan. Cool completely.

  Spread frosting over cereal mixture to within 1" of
  edge. Using tinted frosting, decorating bag and tips,
  decorate frosted area to resemble baseball. Add message,
  if desired. Cut into wedges to serve.

  * To make cookie treat without a pizza pan, press
  cereal mixture into 12" circle on large waxed paper
  lined cookie sheet.
