Ärende: Rules of Echomail

What am I claiming? That moderators have no power? There is no evidence
available to prove the non-existence of this power. Surely if the power exists
there must be some evidence to show that it does?

Does your legal system prosecute a case with no evidence what-so-ever?

It certainly doesn't here - and remember I do not work with faith.

Hijacking?

Surely the users recognise him as moderator or they don't. There is no official
method of deciding who a moderator is - there is nothing official mentioning
moderators at all. They can only do what they can get away with by bamboozling
the users. Any perceived power that a moderator has comes from those users.

As a user of some echoes I do not perceive the power of any moderator. So far
no-one has presented me with anything that would change that view.

Bullshit! Where is all of this spam you allude to? Or are you speaking of the
greater traffic that we have here?

ml> i hope you are happy with yourself for ruining the good thing we have had
all these years...

Bullshit - the echoes are still running - I am still reading/posting in them. I
can see that others are too.

Do you really think that I have opened the eyes of the oppressed masses?

May != can. IP connectivity has seen to that. The days of the need for
controllable hierarchical mail flow have gone.

To follow your example and quote some tv/movie: Go ahead punk - make my day!

empty echo

Obviously all left for me to communicate with would be as open minded as me.
Ah.. Peace - a Christmas wish for Bill.

The Fidoweb makes your task a little more difficult - all you'd do is isolate
yourselves from the greater echo as happened once before with this echo...

Then why the argiing that they have some official power?

ml> at best all you have done is to spur others to not cooperate thereby

Not at all - all I might have done is break the moderators' repressive hold on
the echoes/echomail. The technicalities of the network are working as well as
they ever did.

ml> policy certainly has something to say about the good of the network and
your actions are
ml> certainly /not/ good for the network...

You won;t get much support for this proposition from Z1 - after all so many of
those insist that echomail content is NOT covered by policy - and I haven't
done anything at all technical.

ml> well, maybe if you see echomail as a troublesome entity for the network
but you've also been a huge part
ml> of causing that trouble, too...

I see no such thing of echomail - just the moderators.
