Down South, it's all Coke, whether you want to have Coke, Pepsi or RC.  Now to
REALLY throw someone off, I like to ask for RC (Royal Crown Cola which happens
to be my favorite).  The looks I get...

This reminds me of a true story (and the OBJoke for this post):

In 1987, I was a young high school lad and one particularly beautiful Friday,
a friend and myself decided to cut the last class of the day and head on down
to the local hangout, which was a big gas station a block away on a busy
corner of the main drag (which was the highway that cut through town).  We
went over to see a friend who'd graduated the year before and was working
part-time during the day and going to college at night.

Our friend was there working, so we snagged a couple of fountain drinks and
sat down to watch the world go by.  A hot blonde pulled up in this bright
orange VW Beetle and from the looks, was having a hell of a time trying to
figure out where the gas went!  She figured out how to open the turtle (the
front "trunk" on a Bug) and looked very confused.

My friend went out to help her and came back in laughing.

We asked what was wrong.  He replied, "The blonde couldn't figure out how to
put the gas in her car.  She was terrified when she opened the turtle and
there was no engine.  So, I walked to the back and opened the hood and said,
'Don't worry, there's a spare engine in the back.'  You should have heard the
sigh of relief..."

Needless to say, eighteen years later, it's still something to laugh about. ;)
